Games & Learning

Since I was young, I have always been enthralled by quality board games – Pandemic, Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, Dominion, Puerto Rico, Smallworld, Avalon, History of the World, Alchemists, Dixit, and Bandu are some of my current favorites.

In the past, I worked as a library assistant at MidAmerica Nazarene University’s Mabee Library – the home of the Center for Games & Learning. During my tenure at MNU, I collaborated to create an annotated bibliography on the subject of using analog gaming for learning, both within the classroom and outside of it. This bibliography is available to be requested from the Center for Games & Learning website.

Additionally, I currently manage the digital information literacy game Agents of Change for DCCC Library – an online course that teaches students information literacy concepts in a gamified format.
